About Me

Brighton born, I attended Eastbourne Art College aged 16. On leaving college I spent time as a band photographer and promoter designing band logos, posters, backdrops and record sleeves, while always continuing to paint.

I have exhibited in over 100 shows across the UK and several in Berlin, having regular press coverage.

My work has also been featured on TV. Pastels were commissioned by BBC1 for the Randall and Hopkirk Deceased remake, abstracts for ITV’s The Shell Seekers starring Vanessa Redgrave, oil paintings in BAFTA award winning BBC2’s That Mitchell and Webb Look and the Disney Channel also commissioned paintings.

This year began with changes to my ongoing corporate exhibition in Brighton. I have a solo show for the Brighton Festival in May at The Grange in Rottingdean, followed by a solo show at The Crypt Gallery in Seaford in October,  see Exhibitions page for details.

My work is a mixture of oils on canvas, drawings and charcoals portraying seas, trees and wildlife, also abstracts, to totally immerse yourself in.

My intention is to draw the observer in to discover a hidden world that isn’t immediately obvious, taking time to absorb the intricacies in the artworks.

The world we live in is a constant inspiration to me. I’m in the sea every day and love the liberating experience of being away from the land and feeling completely insignificant. I feel the same way when I am absorbed in a woodland, the countryside and my own imagination..
